(Pluto enters Aquarius) opposite (Mars in Leo) 
Mars wonders aloud 
at the threshold 
of an icy gate... 

"As Pluto enters Aquarius,  
there will be 8 billion ways  
to break the ice.  How 
will you do it? 

Are you an ice climber, pointedly 
piercing it?  Do your cleats 
grip into it?  Or are you a plunger, 
breaking through it with a cannon ball? 

Are you a child, stuck 
to it by your tongue tip? 
Are you melting it 
with the heat in your palm? 

Perhaps you are a sculptor, 
stepping back to observe it, 
stepping forward to chisel at it, 
over and over again. 

Are you a bath, soaking 
and surrounding it? Are you 
a drill, boring into it?  Are you 
lava, erupting from a mountain top? 

Do you touch it with your toe-tip? 
Do you crack it 
like a tray of ice cubes? 
Do you melt it in your mouth? 

Do you boil it into a magick brew,  
and feed it to your friends? 
Do you skate countless paths across it 
as you see all that you can? 

I would like to be a hot-spring, 
releasing deeply gathered heat 
that keeps the water warm."
